What is you reason to dance?
Sometimes if we want something bad enough, we will start. So find your reason to dance and if you need some help, I have four reasons which you can steal from to help find you reason on why you should dance.
1. Dancing gives Health benefits
Whether you want to lose weight or get toned and super fit, dancing is one of the funnest ways to meet your health goals and in some cases exceed them.
You will find the more you dance, the less out of breath you will be in the long run. The more generally fit you will be. The more energy you will have.
If you want to lose weight, it will help you lose weight for sure. If you want to get toned, you will be doing things that require your body to be the weights for you.
Your stamina overall will increase and you will find you aren’t as breathless as you were climbing stairs, which is always a good test.
2. Make friendships when dancing
Sure if you go to dance classes, you will make great bonds and every one there is for the same reason, to learn to dance and have fun. You will confide in each other to find ways to do certain moves better and build long term friendships, because you have something in common and are willing to work hard for it.
3. Dancing helps to release stress
When I was 12 and I would go to ballet at night, I would feel all my days stress release from my body. I couldn’t comprehend at the time what the stress was from, but I found dance released it. I could feel it literally leaving my body. Dancing releases stress in all bodies no matter what age. So if you are an adult and stressed (who isn’t?) then dancing can help relieve this for you.
4. Dancing is fun!
Yes, a major reason you should start or continue dancing is because it is simply fun. We are start at different levels so the real person you are competing with, is yourself. You continually grow and learn and practice and get better and better each time. Dancing is so much fun and during or at the end of a class, look around. Everyone is smiling.
